Is a lease required?

No lease is required. Month-to-month rental fees are due on the first of each month.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. If a prospective resident requests to hold a room, one month’s rent is collected and applied as the first month’s rent upon move-in.

Do you accept long term care insurance or other forms of assistance?

No.

Can residents have home health services?

Yes. It is the responsibility of the resident to make arrangements for this service.

Are there scheduled activities?

Yes! Some of our favorites include:

  • Daily chair exercises and spa
  • Weekly mind exercises
  • Shopping
  • Bible study, Sunday devotional and communion
  • Monthly singing
  • Periodic special activities and programs
  • Weekly bingo and movies
  • Saturday afternoon board games

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code, but residents are required to be fully dressed in all common areas after 10:00 AM. Gowns with robes are permitted at breakfast.

Are the rooms furnished?

No.

Are families welcome?

Yes, visitors are welcome. Many common areas are available for entertaining families and friends.

Is a resident required to come to every meal?

Residents are expected at each meal unless prior notice is given to the office.

Are guests welcome for meals?

Yes!

Is food allowed in the rooms?

Yes. Food in resident rooms must be stored in air-tight containers. Food may not be taken out of the dining room.

Are overnight guests allowed?

Yes, guests may stay overnight in residents’ rooms. Also, The Sherick has a room available for guests at a minimal charge.
